We sat down with Thalita Rodrigues, the number 1 female in the world in the PS1 category for Para Standing Tennis. She spoke about the motivations and challenges she faced throughout the production of our new film for Sky Documentaries.
What is the documentary about?

The best part of being in the documentary was undoubtedly the time spent with incredible people like Adam, Alex, and Kemit, as well as the entire production team. Getting to know each of them and sharing such special moments was truly enriching. I also loved the vibrant energy of the places where I performed, which made the experience even more memorable.
What have you learnt from being in the documentary?
Participating in the documentary was a profoundly enriching experience. It taught me about the importance of believing in our dreams and highlighted the relevance of including athletes with disabilities in the world of tennis. Each shared story reinforced how overcoming challenges and solidarity can transform lives, showing that, regardless of the adversities, it is possible to achieve great accomplishments. What was the best place you visited during filming and why?
One of the best places I visited to film was undoubtedly the Grand Slams, such as the Australian Open and Wimbledon. It was the realization of a childhood dream. What do you think the audience will learn from watching this documentary? By watching this documentary, the audience will learn about the importance of expanding tennis in the Paralympic context and the incredible potential of athletes who are awaiting global recognition. Through their inspiring stories, it will become clear that these athletes need support not only from society but also from political authorities, so they can achieve their dreams and showcase their abilities to the world.
